Waukegan to College rolls out program where parents help other parents navigate higher-education needs

Gorter Family Foundation grantee Waukegan to College and its new Parents Educating Parents program were recently highlighted in a Chicago Tribune Lake County News-Sun article: “Waukegan to College rolls out program where parents help other parents navigate higher-education needs.”  Waukegan to College’s mission is to create brighter futures for students, families and the community by helping students prepare to enroll in and graduate from college. Their new program, where parent mentors lead workshops for parents, will further support families and students (from pre-kindergarten to high school) as they navigate the higher-education process.
