A recent Chicago Tribune Lake County News-Sun article, Roberti Pathway nourishes county’s growing culinary industry, featured the GFF-funded Roberti Community House’s culinary program. “For more than a year, the Roberti Culinary Pathway has taught future food-service workers what it takes to make it in the at-times fast-paced space of a busy eatery. In a small, hands-on, individualized teaching environment, the culinary school has turned out dozens of graduates — and 95 percent of them are now employed in area food-industry slots.”
Waukegan-based Roberti Community House’s mission is to nourish, educate and empower community members so that they can acknowledge, appreciate and actualize their individual strengths and talents.
